Terms And Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of the Joyride MTB website and the purchase, booking or participation in services provided by Joyride MTB, including Joyride MTB Club, Coaching, Racing, events, shuttle activities and other programs. By using our website, creating an account, purchasing a membership, making a booking or entering a Joyride MTB event, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Joyride MTB provides mountain biking services, events, memberships, coaching, activities and related products. You must provide accurate and current information when creating an account, purchasing a service, entering an event or making a booking. Joyride MTB reserves the right to refuse or cancel access to a service where false, misleading or incomplete information has been provided. Where a participant is under 18 years of age, bookings, registrations and relevant agreements may need to be completed or approved by a parent or legal guardian.

All prices displayed by Joyride MTB are in Australian dollars (AUD) unless otherwise stated. Payment must be made through the payment methods or platforms made available at the time of purchase or registration. Prices, inclusions and availability may change from time to time. Any applicable price will be clearly displayed before purchase. Additional transaction, processing or third-party platform fees may apply where disclosed during checkout.

Cancellation, refund and transfer conditions may vary depending on the service purchased, including memberships, coaching sessions, race entries, shuttle days and other events. Any specific cancellation or refund conditions displayed during the booking or registration process form part of these Terms & Conditions. Unless otherwise stated, bookings, memberships and event entries are not transferable to another person without prior approval from Joyride MTB. Joyride MTB will comply with all applicable rights and remedies available to consumers under Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude any rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Joyride MTB Club memberships provide access to benefits that may include partner discounts, giveaways, member events, early race entry, shuttle days, coaching discounts and other benefits advertised by Joyride MTB. Membership inclusions may vary depending on the membership or pass purchased. Memberships are for the registered member only and are not transferable. Membership accounts, discount codes or other benefits must not be shared with non-members. Joyride MTB reserves the right to suspend or terminate memberships where benefits are being shared, misused or used fraudulently. Partner discounts are intended for reasonable personal use and must not be used to purchase products in commercial quantities or for resale. Individual Joyride MTB partners may impose their own exclusions, conditions or purchase limits. Advertised discounts may apply only to selected products or services and may not apply store-wide or across an entire brand. Partner offers and Club benefits are subject to availability and may change during a membership period.

The price and duration of each Joyride MTB Club membership or pass will be displayed at the time of purchase. Where a membership is sold as a recurring subscription, the applicable membership fee will be charged at the stated renewal interval until the subscription is cancelled. Members are responsible for cancelling recurring memberships before their next renewal date if they do not wish to continue. Cancellation of a recurring membership prevents future renewal charges but does not automatically entitle the member to a refund for a membership period already purchased.

Mountain biking is an inherently dangerous activity and involves risks including falls, collisions, equipment failure, changing trail conditions, environmental hazards and serious injury. Participants are responsible for ensuring that they: use equipment suitable for the activity; wear appropriate safety equipment, including an approved helmet; follow instructions provided by Joyride MTB staff and coaches; ride within their ability; inform Joyride MTB of relevant information that may affect their safe participation; and follow applicable trail, venue and land-manager rules. Participation may also be subject to a separate waiver or participant declaration. Joyride MTB may prevent a participant from taking part or require them to stop participating where staff reasonably believe continuing would create an unacceptable safety risk.

Race entries and event participation may be subject to additional event-specific conditions, including eligibility requirements, age categories, licences, equipment requirements, waivers, schedules and rules. Where an event is sanctioned by a governing body such as AusCycling, participants must also comply with the applicable rules, regulations and licence requirements of that organisation. Participants are responsible for ensuring they hold any required licence or membership before participating. Joyride MTB reserves the right to change event schedules, race formats, courses, practice arrangements or other operational details where reasonably necessary due to weather, safety, venue requirements or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Mountain bike events and outdoor activities can be affected by circumstances outside Joyride MTB's control, including severe weather, fire danger, track conditions, venue restrictions, emergency incidents and government or land-manager directions. Where an event or activity needs to be postponed, relocated, altered or cancelled, Joyride MTB will communicate the available options to affected participants.

Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner at all Joyride MTB activities, both on and off the bike. Joyride MTB may remove or refuse participation to anyone whose behaviour is unsafe, abusive, or negatively affects other participants, staff or the event.

Participants are responsible for ensuring their bicycle and equipment are in safe working condition before participating. Where Joyride MTB identifies an obvious safety concern with equipment, we may prevent its use until the issue has been addressed.

Photography and video may be captured during Joyride MTB events and activities. Media may be used for event coverage, social media, websites, advertising and promotional purposes, subject to applicable privacy and consent requirements. Where additional consent is required, including certain circumstances involving junior participants, Joyride MTB may request permission from the participant or their parent or guardian.

Content on the Joyride MTB website is provided for general information and may be updated without notice. Users must not attempt to interfere with the website, access restricted areas without authorisation, misuse member accounts or discount codes, or use the website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.

Unless otherwise stated, Joyride MTB owns or is authorised to use the logos, branding, photographs, graphics, videos, written content and other materials published through its website and services. Joyride MTB content must not be reproduced, distributed or used commercially without permission, except where permitted by law.

Joyride MTB may use or link to third-party services for payments, bookings, memberships, race registrations and other functions. Third-party platforms may have their own terms, conditions and privacy policies. Joyride MTB is not responsible for the operation of third-party platforms except to the extent required by law.

Personal information collected by Joyride MTB is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws. By using Joyride MTB services, you acknowledge that information may be collected and processed where reasonably necessary to provide those services.

Mountain biking carries inherent risks, and participants accept the ordinary risks associated with participating in mountain biking activities. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Joyride MTB is not liable for loss, damage, injury or expense resulting from risks inherent in participation, a participant's failure to follow instructions, misuse of equipment, or circumstances outside Joyride MTB's reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.

Joyride MTB may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our services, operations or legal requirements. The current version will be published on the Joyride MTB website with the date of the latest update. Where significant changes materially affect an existing membership or booking, Joyride MTB will take reasonable steps to communicate those changes where appropriate.
